Dynamic Toy Company seeks a Credit and Collections Manager to join our growing team!
JAKKS Pacific, Inc. is a multi-brand company that, since 1995, has been designing, developing, producing and marketing toys, leisure products and writing instruments for children and adults around the world.
The ideal candidate will be expected to exhibit an ability to analyze unfamiliar situations, diagnose problems or billing and collection issues and develop effective work plans and business processes to streamline the workload of the department. The ideal candidate will be expected to document these business processes formally such that new processes can be effectively communicated to departmental management and new employees. The Manager should be able to manage to this strategy in a timely fashion to meet predetermined milestones while maintaining a high degree of quality. A management style which reflects these qualities and which encourages staff to strive to achieve more is essential. .
Position Duties
- Analyze and challenge current processes and divisions of responsibility within the department in an effort to improve both efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Work to improve rapport with executives and operational peers within the company.
- Ensure integrity of internal controls and assist in the timely and accurate dissemination of reports and information to management is deemed highly important
- Develop statistical reporting that will provide the Controller, Manger and Director of credit & collections with timely updates concerning the condition of outstanding A/R and the status of collection efforts on key accounts and 3rd party collections
- Present a highly knowledgeable and professional image when communicating with internal personnel and outside customers.
- Approval for credit and debit adjustments
- Deduction accrual reporting and monitor top 20 accounts
- Review MIF request and distribute to analysts
- Attend local credit industry meetings
- Review customer setup forms for credit worthiness
Qualifications
- 3 - 5 years of experience
- Must have at least 2 years of solid JDE (JD Edwards) experience
- Must have big box retail experience, Costco, Sam's, Walmart, TRU
- Must have a desire to contribute and grow
- Must be a team player
